Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 15, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Publiz ("Publiz", "we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use our platform and services.

By using Publiz, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we may collect:

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Password (stored securely using industry-standard hashing)
  • Profile image (optional)

1.2 Usage Information

We automatically collect certain information when you use the platform, including:

  • Browser type and version
  • Device information
  • Operating system
  • IP address
  • Time zone and language preferences
  • Pages visited and features used
  • Access dates and times
  • Error logs and diagnostic information

1.3 Content Data

We store the content and information you create or upload through the platform, including:

  • Social media posts and drafts
  • Scheduled publishing data
  • Uploaded images, videos, and media files
  • Workspace and team settings
  • AI-generated content and prompts (if applicable)

1.4 Third-Party Platform Access

When you connect third-party platforms such as social media accounts to Publiz, we may access certain information and permissions authorized by you through their APIs, including:

  • Account profile information
  • Page, channel, or workspace identifiers
  • Publishing permissions
  • Media upload permissions

We only access and use the data necessary to provide publishing, scheduling, and related platform functionality.

Some of this data is about other people. If someone comments on a post you published through Publiz, we receive that comment and the commenter's basic profile information so we can show it to you. We only show it inside Publiz. We don't sell it and we don't pass it on.

1.5 Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Maintain your login session
  • Remember preferences and settings
  • Improve platform performance
  • Analyze usage patterns and platform activity

You may control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect certain functionality.

1.6 Google and YouTube Data

When you connect a YouTube channel, Publiz uses the YouTube API Services. That means the YouTube Terms of Service apply to you as well, and Google's own handling of your data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.

Through the YouTube API Services we access:

  • Your channel identity: channel ID, name, and thumbnail, so you can choose where to publish
  • Permission to upload videos on your behalf
  • Metadata and statistics for videos you published through Publiz, such as title, description, privacy status, views, likes, and comments

We use that data for one thing: running the scheduling, publishing, and analytics you asked for. We don't sell it, we don't use it for advertising, and we don't use it to train AI models. Publiz follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Your Google access tokens are stored encrypted. They're deleted when you disconnect the channel or delete your account.

You can revoke our access to your Google account whenever you want. Disconnect the channel in your Publiz settings, or remove Publiz from the Google security settings page.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  1. Provide, operate, and maintain our services
  2. Authenticate users and secure accounts
  3. Schedule and publish content on connected platforms
  4. Process payments and subscriptions
  5. Send service-related notifications and updates
  6. Provide customer support
  7. Improve platform functionality and user experience
  8. Monitor, prevent, and investigate abuse, fraud, or security issues
  9. Comply with legal obligations

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share information with:

  • Third-party platforms connected by you for publishing purposes
  • Trusted infrastructure, hosting, analytics, monitoring, and payment providers
  • Service providers assisting in platform operations
  • Legal authorities when required by law or to protect our legal rights

All third-party providers are expected to process data securely and in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

4. Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect your information, including:

  • Encryption in transit using TLS/SSL
  • Secure password hashing
  • Access controls and authentication systems
  • Infrastructure and server security measures
  • Monitoring and logging systems
  • Periodic security reviews

Access tokens for connected third-party platforms are stored securely and used only for authorized actions requested by you.

However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with legal obligations.

Data from platforms you connect follows that platform's rules, not ours. Some of them require us to delete what we've fetched within a short window, sometimes as little as a day. When that's the case, we delete our copy on schedule and fetch it again from the platform when you open it. So what you see from a connected account is always current, not an archive we keep.

When you delete your account:

  • Personal information is deleted or anonymized within 30 days
  • Connected third-party accounts are disconnected
  • Stored access tokens are revoked or removed where applicable
  • Some data may be retained for legal, fraud prevention, tax, or security purposes

Content already published to third-party platforms remains subject to those platforms' own policies.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location and applicable laws, you may have the right to:

  • Access your personal information
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Delete your account and associated data
  • Export the data you gave us, in a portable format
  • Withdraw consent for optional processing
  • Object to certain processing activities

Exports cover your own content and account data. They don't include other people's information we fetched from a connected platform, because those platforms don't allow us to pass it on.

You may exercise these rights through your account settings or by contacting us.

7. Data Deletion Requests

You may request deletion of your data and account at any time by:

  • Using the account deletion feature within the platform, or
  • Contacting us directly

Once processed:

  • Connected accounts will be disconnected
  • Associated access tokens will be deleted
  • Personal information and stored content will be permanently removed within a reasonable timeframe unless retention is legally required

8. Children's Privacy

Publiz is not intended for children under the age required by applicable local laws. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If we become aware that we have collected information from a child without appropriate consent, we will take reasonable steps to remove it.

9. International Data Processing

Your information may be processed and stored in countries different from your own jurisdiction.

By using our services, you acknowledge and agree to such transfer, storage, and processing.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

When material changes are made, we may notify users through email, platform notifications, or other reasonable methods.

The updated version will always include the latest effective date.
